Brandishing

The victim confronted the driver of a black Mercedes for blocking the street on Illinois Ave. The driver of the Mercedes stepped out of the vehicle and brandished a black handgun stating he “owned the street”. Police were called as driver of the vehicle fled the area in the Mercedes. The Mercedes has been identified as being involved in several incidents as well as fleeing from officers. As officers were on scene with the victim the vehicle drove by again. Officers searched the area and found the vehicle unoccupied at 1042 S. Pueblo. The Mercedes was then impounded and towed to evidence. Gang detectives are investigating who the driver of the vehicle was.

Aggravated robbery

The suspect entered the 7-11 at the above location. The suspect demanded money from the clerk while brandishing a small weapon. The suspect exited the store and ran off with an undetermined amount of money. The suspect was described as a white male adult about 25-30 years old, black shirt wrapped around neck and face, wearing a gray shirt, dark pants, sunglasses, black hat, and white shoes.

Burglary
1667 N. Beck Street

A witness reported a male forcing entry into a storage unit at Beck Street Storage. The male was carrying property from the unit to a car. Officers arrived with K9s and assisted in searching the area. Suspect was located by a K9 Officer and his dog. The suspect did not cooperate and was bitten on the hand while being taken into custody. The suspect was taken to a local hospital and treated for his injury. The suspect was identified as Abram Harris, 48, he was booked into jail for burglary and related charges.
