Fight and Taser Deployment

Officers were responding to a call about three individuals fighting. Two individuals refused officers commands to get on the ground. One of the individuals attempted to use another individual as a shield. An officer deployed his taser at the individual which stopped him from assaulting anyone else. Arturo Torres-Vega, 30, was booked into jail for public intoxication, resisting arrest, failure to identify and disorderly conduct. Pablo Garcia, 30, and Edwin Pacheco, 30, were booked for public intoxication and disorderly conduct.

DUI, Aggravated Assault

The subject was picking up his friend at the airport when he followed a shuttle and entered a restricted area. A Curb officer approached the driver to redirect him to a different location until Airport PD could respond. The driver refused to stop almost running over the Curb Officer. The driver fled but was stopped shortly thereafter. The driver refused to comply with the officer’s instructions and had to be physically removed from the vehicle. Juan Carlos Miranda, 45, was booked into jail for DUI and aggravated assault.

Robbery

A male entered the business and demanded cash. The clerk initially refused, but the suspect produced a weapon at which time the clerk complied. The suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of money. The suspect is described as a male black adult, 5’3” tall with a slim build. He was last seen wearing a striped shirt with light colored pants and a bandana covering his face.

Shots Fired

Officers responded to a report of shots fired. They were unable to locate any damage or evidence.
