Pursuit – Robbery Suspect Arrest

Officers observed a vehicle which was wanted in connection with two robberies from the day prior. A traffic stop was initiated but the vehicle fled, and officers pursued. A short time later the vehicle stopped, and one male ran on foot from the car before the car quickly fled again. The driver lost control and spun out. The remaining 3 occupants fled on foot but were quickly caught. The individual who fled on foot during the pursuit was also found and detained. During the investigation the vehicle was found to be stolen. 3 of the 4 occupants in the vehicle were booked into juvenile detention for robbery and other charges. The 4th occupant, also a juvenile, will have charges screened.

Narcotics and Weapons Arrest

Officers were conducting patrols in the area of 1300 S. State St. when they observed a possible wanted person. Officers contacted the individual a short distance away. During the investigation it was found the individual did have warrants and he was placed under arrest. During a search of his person a loaded handgun was found. Officers also found narcotics and paraphernalia in the suspects vehicle. Ahmed Abdullahi, 29, was booked for warrants, possession of a firearm by a restricted person, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of narcotics with intent to distribute.

Shots Fired

Officers responded to multiple reports of shots fired. Shell casings were found in the street, officers did not locate any damage and no injuries were reported. Investigation is ongoing.

Brandishing
700 N. Redwood Rd.

Officers responded on a report of two male Hispanic adults in a dark colored vehicle pointing a handgun out the windows. Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the vehicle or the suspects.

Foot Pursuit and Narcotics Arrest

Officers attempted to speak with a group of pedestrians when one male appeared to be trying to hide something while walking away. Officers announced themselves and told him to stop but the male fled on foot. Officers gave chase and caught the male on the TRAX platform. The male actively resisted arrest but was eventually taken into custody. Franklin Concepcion Ordonez Velasquez, 21, was booked into jail for possession of a controlled substance, fleeing on foot, resisting arrest, possession of a dangerous weapon and possession of drug paraphernalia.
