Suspicious Package

An officer who was working part time at Vivint Arena, observed a suspicious package that was left under the table behind The Chubasco restaurant. The arena explosive detection K-9 indicated that the package might contain explosive device. The Arena management evacuated everyone who were still in the arena. Bomb technicians were called out. After examining the package, the Bomb Techs determined it was a tool box.

Two of the victims were at the Complex where they got into an altercation with another male or group of males. After the concert ended, the two were walking west on 100 South when a vehicle pulled up to them and an occupant of that vehicle shot at them striking both victims. One victim stayed on scene and was transported to a local hospital by ambulance. The other victim said he got into a car with unknown people and was transported to his aunt’s house. His aunt transported him to another hospital. A third victim was hit by a ricochet bullet. He may not have been directly involved. He was transported to a local hospital. The Gang Unit is still investigating.
