Two female black adults entered the store at this location. One female attempted to distract the clerk while another began removing security devices from purses. The clerk caught on to what was happening and the one female that was attempting the distraction pulled out pepper spay and deployed it at the clerk. The two females then grabbed several purses and fled the store getting into a waiting vehicle.

Shots Fired
1790 W. 700 N.

Dispatch received a call of shots fired at 1790 W. 700 N. Officers arrived and found two individuals with gunshot wounds. Both were transported to area hospitals in serious condition. At the hospital, one of the individuals was declared deceased and has been identified as Leticia Smith, 56. Investigation is ongoing.
