Shots Fired
2064 S. 300 W.

A male drove past the parking lot at this address and fired at least one round from a gun towards individuals gathered in the parking lot. The suspect fled the scene but was identified by witnesses on scene who had previous encounters with him. Eugene Peay,49, was located in Sandy and taken into custody. Peay was booked into jail for aggravated assault and possession of a weapon by a restricted person.

Occupied Stolen Vehicle
500 S. 600 E.

The victim saw his stolen vehicle at a gas station and called police. When officers arrived a male immediately fled on foot from the vehicle. Dominic Lucero, 50, was booked into jail for felony theft.

10:13 p.m.
Shots Fired
1371 W. Indiana Ave.

Officers responded to multiple calls of shots fired in the area. Officers found shell casings in an alley but have no suspect information. No damage or injuries were reported.

11:30 p.m.
Occupied Stolen Vehicle
380 S. Cactus St.

Officers observed a vehicle driving erratically and began to follow the vehicle. The vehicle was listed as stolen out of another jurisdiction. Officers conducted a high hazard stop and took two individuals into custody. During the investigation it was determined the driver was the son of the vehicle owner and was late in returning the vehicle to his father. The vehicle was not actually stolen. The driver was release and the vehicle was returned to the father. A passenger in the vehicle, Mohammed Abuker, 22, had multiple warrants and was booked into jail for those warrants.

Fight/Assault on an Officer
641 W. North Temple St.

Officers responded on reports of a male fighting with security guards. Upon arrival they found a male fighting with multiple security guards. Officers were able to get the male into custody; however, he began to hit his head on the sidewalk and had to be restrained. While being transported to a hospital in an ambulance the male attempted to flee the ambulance but was unable to as he was restrained. The male continued to try and hit his head on the interior of the ambulance, as well as spit at people. An officer placed a spit hood on the male, who then kicked the officer in the back causing him to strike his head on a door jamb. Once the male was at the hospital officers learned he bit one of the security guards during the initial altercation. After being treated at a hospital Hector Munguia, 26, was booked into jail for aggravated assault, assault on a police officer, intoxication and outstanding warrants.
