Aggravated Assault

Two employees were arguing at this location. One threatened to shoot the other with a gun that they had in their backpack. Officers responded and found two guns in the suspect’s backpack, one of them was loaded. Carlos Rickaby, 28, was booked for aggravated assault and carrying a concealed weapon without a permit.

Strongarm Robbery

A woman was lying on a blanket at this address. Four Black female adults, one Black female teenager and one Hispanic male approached her and stated that they wanted her blanket. The woman refused. The group then began to assault her, punching her repeatedly while taking the blanket. The victim was evaluated on scene by EMS personnel.

Officers responded to a shots fired call at this location and found shell casings at the scene. No property damage or suspect information.

Burglary in Progress
805 W. Layton Ave.

Business owners called and stated that an alarm was set off at the location. Officers arrived on scene and called out into the business. Officers could hear movement inside and they located two individuals hiding inside the business. Sanjana Chand, 31, and Irineo Brito, 39, were booked for burglary.
