Aggravated Assault on a Police Officer
705 S. Redwood Rd.
20-182677
Officers responded on a call of a male who had left his residence with multiple knives while making threats to stab people. When officers arrived, he began walking towards one of the officers with the knives. The officer reversed his vehicle to create distance between himself and the male. As more officers arrived the male attempted to walk away while still carrying the knives. One officer attempted to use his Taser but had no success. A second officer then deployed 3 less-lethal rounds. As the male was going to the ground, he attempted to access a third knife he had on his person. Another officer deployed a taser which allowed officers to get the male into custody. Bryce Sevy, 32, was booked into jail for aggravated assault on a police officer.
