Shots Fired

A homeowner in the area reported that her house had been shot. Officers arrived on scene and found bullet holes as well as shell casings. No one was injured from the shooting. There is no known motive at this time.

Carjacking
1300 S. 200 E.

The male victim was approached by a female who asked for a ride. The victim agreed in exchange for ten dollars. The victim drove the female to her requested destination. Once there a male approached the vehicle, showed a gun and demanded the victim exit the vehicle. The victim attempted to drive off when the female, still in the vehicle, took control of the wheel. The victim fled the vehicle and the area on foot and called for police. The vehicle was recovered latter that night with the help of GPS. No arrests have been made.

Shooting
1522 S. State St.

The male victim was attending a party and got into an altercation with the suspect. The suspect pulled a gun and shot the victim in the leg. Friends of the victim attempted to transport him to a local hospital. The vehicle was located by officers and stopped. Officers administered medical aide and summoned an ambulance. Victim was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Shell casings were recovered from the original scene.
