Officers were dispatched on a man down in a vehicle. Fire personal noticed the male had a knife in his lap, and a firearm under his leg as they began to render aid. Officers arrived and took the subject into custody. Narcotics were located in the vehicle and on the subject. The impaired subject was processed for a DUI and then transported to jail. Jose Vasquez, 40, was booked for DUI, possession with intent to distribute and possession of a firearm by a restricted person.

Car Jacking

The victim called to report that on the previous day he had been assaulted in his vehicle while giving a couple individuals a ride. The victim knew one of the individuals. After being assaulted the suspects took the victim’s car. Officers located the vehicle in Liberty Park. The vehicle was stopped, and the juvenile driver taken into custody. The juvenile AP was booked into detention for aggravated robbery.
