7:46 a.m.

Stabbing
999 S. Main St.

Four people knocked at the victim’s door and he let them in. He was then assaulted with a pipe and stabbed. The suspects fled the scene, however Seleisa Isara, 20, was located nearby and booked into jail for aggravated assault. There are three other suspects who were not located. The victim was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

 

 

8:35 a.m.

Burglary
938 N. 900 W.

Officers responded to an assault in progress. A male had entered the store and when he was asked to leave, he began assaulting the clerk. When officers arrived, the suspect was still assaulting the clerk. Officers were able to take Charles Sargent, 55, into custody. Sargent attempted to kick his way out of a police vehicle and was placed in a WRAP restraint to be transported to jail. Sargent was booked into jail for aggravated burglary and possession of a controlled substance.

 

3:10 p.m.
Trespass/Foot Pursit

150 W. 1300 S.

Officers responded on a call of possible trespassers at this address. They located two males in an alley. One of the males refused to give his name and eventually ran from officer. As officers chased the male, he kept hiding an object in his hands. Officers attempted to Tase the suspect; however it did not work. The male continued to run but several officers were able to converge on the suspect and take him into custody. Colton Jones, 27, was booked into jail for failure to identify, failure to stop at the command of a law enforcement officer and interference with an arresting officer, as well as outstanding felon arrest warrants.

Shots Fired
862 W. Dalton Ave

Officers initially responded to a report of shots fired at this address several days prior. At that time nothing was found. Today the homeowner located a bullet hole in her vehicle as well as spent shell casings.

 

4:45 p.m.

Weapon Possession

28 W. Merrimac Ave
20-218148

An officer stopped two pedestrians for walking in the roadway. Uilisoni Sonasi, 28, and Kasanita King, 25, were both found to have outstanding warrants. Officers also located a firearm and narcotics during the stop. Both Sonasi and King were booked into jail.
