SALT LAKE CITY — The Salt Lake City Police Department invites reporters this Thursday afternoon to preview evidence slated for disposal later this month. 

The Public Information Officer will meet reporters in the lobby of the old Public Safety Building at 1 p.m. Thursday, June 19, 2014. The goal is to educate the public about monthly disposal, which includes items taken into custody for a variety of reasons. It is not a general call for the review of lost-and-found items.
