SALT LAKE CITY — The Salt Lake City Police Department will issue on-officer cameras to the 15 recruits of Recruit Class #132 Thursday morning at 8 a.m.

With this round of deployment, SLCPD will have 95 body cameras in the field. The goal is to equip the 250 officers who primarily serve in a first-responder capacity, which includes patrol, motor and bike officers.

Reporters interested in seeing the latest deployment of “body-cams” — the AXONFlex on-officer camera — are invited to attend.
