Vandalism Spree: Vinyl Fence Owners Report Damages
10 cases reported since November
SALT LAKE CITY — The Salt Lake City Police Department seeks the public’s help to identify suspects involved in vandalism of several vinyl fences in Salt Lake City.
Since November SLCPD has received several reports of vinyl fences with damages ranging from $250 to $1,500. The vandals have been struck between 8-11:30 p.m., mostly on weekends. At this time there is no suspect information and no video evidence.
A detective assigned to the cases says the damage appears to be the result of people purposely hurling themselves through the fences. One owner was victimized three times.
