October  23: Free coffee, conversation 8-10 a.m. at Starbucks inside Smith’s

SALT LAKE CITY — The Salt Lake City Police Department will be at the coffee shop inside Smith’s, 922 E. 2100 S., Thursday, October 23, to talk crime prevention, trends and public safety issues during “Coffee with a Cop.”

Starbucks at Smith’s will offer a free cup of regular coffee to anyone who speaks with an officer from 8-10 a.m. Community Intelligence Officers will be on hand to answer questions the public may have about crime trends or public safety issues in the neighborhood or elsewhere in the city.

Coffee with a Cop” breaks down barriers and allows for a relaxed, one-on-one interaction between police officers and the public one cup of coffee at a time. For information about hosting this monthly event, please send an email to coffeewithacop@slcgov.com.
