SALT LAKE CITY — The Salt Lake City Police Department invites media representatives to observe SWAT School training this coming Sunday, April 24, from 6:15-7:45 a.m. 13 candidates will navigate a complex obstacle course requiring physical stamina, leadership, and teamwork.

Known for its intensity and rigor, the Department’s SWAT School will host candidates from multiple local law enforcement agencies as well as three officers from Brazil, two male and one female. SLCPD has invited and hosted Brazilian Civil Police officers over the past two years. These officers have a unique opportunity to learn new and different tactics, see and use other technology, and network with fellow officers here in Utah.

The Brazilian Officers are grateful and pleased at the respect and support shown by local law enforcement and the community here in Utah that embraces them, providing homes and hospitality while they are here for the three weeks.
