SLCPD Searching for Driver Who Crashed Into House, Fled the Scene

SALT LAKE CITY — The Salt Lake City Police Department is searching for a driver who crashed into a home in the Rose Park neighborhood overnight and fled the scene.

This investigation started at 3:37 a.m. on April 22, 2022 when SLC911 received reports of a vehicle crashing into the side of a house in the 1500-block of North Baroness Street.

Responding officers located the vehicle and discovered a gas meter ruptured as a result of the crash.

No one inside of the home was injured.

The driver fled the scene on foot.

Officers immediately began searching for the suspect, but they were not located.

Salt Lake City Fire Department and Dominion Energy responded to the scene to assess the gas leak.
