Social Media

As part of our commitment to community engagement and the open flow of communication, the Salt Lake City Police Department uses social media to share information and build relationships with individuals, companies, and organizations. We invite you to connect with us through these social networks and tools to communicate with us and to gain information about what is happening within your community.

Facebook

The SLCPD's Facebook page is packed with news and other info, such as public relations, community outreach, upcoming festivals and events, and crime prevention tips. You can also send us messages, RSVP to events, and read about what is going on inside the department.

Twitter

Our Twitter feed is the place to share and discover what's happening now - a great source of instantly-updated information. SLCPD uses Twitter to send short, quick updates on current events and incidents, notification of wanted suspects, and public safety messages. SLCPD also likes to share videos and photos of what we are doing with the community, so visit often.

Youtube

We use YouTube for items such as public service announcement videos, surveillance videos of wanted subjects, and recruitment videos. You can also see Chief’s Messages, teasers for public safety messages and connect with SLCTV to learn more about Salt Lake City.

Instagram

SLCPD uses Instagram to capture "in-the-moment" photos of current happenings within the department. Meet members of the Salt Lake City Police Department as they work with the community, support local organizations, and catch a peek at our K9s.

SLCPD encourages your comments, and hopes you will join the discussions both on the SLCPD website and on social networks. We reserve the right to remove comments that are offensive, abusive, off-topic or promoting a commercial product, person or website. Expressing disagreement is fine, but mutual respect is required.
