SALT LAKE CITY — Burglary Detectives are investigating a series of burglaries in the downtown area that bear a similar method of entry. Surveillance video from one case shows a suspect who investigators wish to interview.

At approximately 1:30 a.m. Saturday, April 19, 2014, a man was caught on camera casing a downtown business at 611 S. Main Street. Video shows the man scoping out the business and then taking a rock and throwing it through the window. After he enters the business, he steals an iPad connected to a cash register.

The suspect is a white male, 25 to 30 years of age. In the video he is seen wearing a bike helmet and riding a mountain bike. He is wearing a blue or dark-colored long-sleeved shirt, khaki shorts, white socks and white Nike shoes.

Detectives are investigating reports of several burglaries in the downtown area where the same method is used, specifically, breaking windows with a rock and stealing iPads from cash registers.

Salt Lake City Police wish to identify the man in the video and question him about the weekend case and other cases.
