SALT LAKE CITY— The Salt Lake City Police Department will take its “Coffee with a Cop” program to Publik Coffee Roasters, 975 S. West Temple, from 8-10 a.m. Thursday, June 26.
“Coffee with a Cop” breaks down barriers and allows for a relaxed, one-on-one interaction between police officers and the public one cup of coffee at a time. The outreach campaign is designed to share crime trends and foster an exchange of ideas about public safety issues in the area.
Publik Coffee Roasters will supply one free cup of regular coffee to patrons who visit with an officer. And of course, coffee consumption is not required.
