Synopsis: At approximately 5:30 a.m. on October 17, 2003, Dispatch received an anonymous phone call about a body in the parking lot of La Frontera, 1434 S. 700 W. The victim was identified as Fernando Ordonez-Hernandez, 49.

The Medical Examiner’s Office later determined the manner of death to be homicide and the immediate cause of death to be blunt force injuries. Detectives believe the victim was beaten to death at a different location before his body was dumped in the restaurant’s parking lot.
