SLCPD Investigating Suspicious Death, No Public Danger

SALT LAKE CITY — The Salt Lake City Police Department is investigating the suspicious death of a 43-year-old man.

The investigation started at 9:37 p.m. on November 8, 2021 when officers assigned to the Salt Lake City Police responded to area 247 West 1700 South to assist paramedics on a medical call.

The victim died on scene.

When officers arrived on scene, they determined the death to be suspicious in nature.

Detectives assigned to the SLCPD Homicide Squad and SLCPD Crime Lab responded to the scene.

An autopsy will determine the cause and manner of the victim’s death. This death has not been ruled as a homicide.

No additional details can be released at this time due to the need to protect the integrity of the investigation.

Based on the investigation, there is no risk to our community.
